And by Swiss, I mean the airline “formerly known as SwissAir”. Yesterday, after a lovely walk around, lunch and cider with Celso in Oviedo we flew to Barcelona, stayed overnight in an airport hotel anticipating an early morning flight via Zurich back to Los Angeles. Things started to go wrong at the airport in Barcelona when I received a stream of conflicting and confusing messages (text & email) from the airline “formerly known….etc” with varying anticipated times for our onward flight to LA. Not long before we board the flight to Zurich, comes the “definitive” message…..the LA flight is cancelled.

But the “good news” is we’ve been re-booked. The “bad news” is that it’s TOMORROW morning from Zurich via Copenhagen to Los Angeles. Well at least the airline “formerly known….etc” put us up in an airport hotel overnight with dinner and under EU rules, we’re also entitled to financial compensation…..not holding my breath!

So this two week trip will eventually come to a close…..and we would have stepped foot in six countries……Turkey, North Macedonia , Kosovo, Serbia, Switzerland, Denmark!!!
