Seems like we only just left, but here we are back again just ten days later. “Home” this time, the Union Square “W” is nowhere near as grand as last visit’s Home….the hotel’s public rooms are all under renovation (until sometime in 2023) a minor detail that wasn’t disclosed to us until the “welcome” email a few days before check-in by which time it was too late to change! Still, the Union Square neighbourhood, with its impressive Farmers Market and a seemingly endless choice of restaurants, is fascinating and very convenient for two of the weekend’s events

The impetus for this visit is a dinner at New York’s renowned Gramercy Tavern to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the creation of Endo. An almost impossible task to get everyone together in one place at one time, but Carol did it! We’ll almost….Goldberg, Carol, Mariann, Jeff, Caroline, David (and spouses) all there. Unfortunately Loverro (on his way back from raising money from Australian superfunds in Sydney) and Wahrhaftig (backed out last minute because of a family issue) missed out. Fantastic evening, much reminiscing and much fun! Everyone looks remarkably good, barely different 😊 from 25 years ago….”it was as if time had stood still” was the common consensus
