May sound a bit odd, but arriving in India does have somewhat of a feel of “coming home”. After all, Delhi is where we first met getting on for 53 years ago. The Indian state of Rajasthan is where we were a little over 12 years ago when we heard that Kimberly had gone into labour and Bennett arrived soon after. And India was our last foreign destination before Covid shut the world down!

We’re back in Delhi just briefly, enough time to get over jet lag and visit a few sites we haven’t seen on earlier visits. Back at New Delhi’s grand old Imperial Hotel, which doesn’t seem to have changed one bit since our last stay more than 12 years ago.

These days, Delhi has the distinction of having the worst air quality of any city in the world. The city is often shrouded in heavy smog The weather’s not great although a bit of rain helped clear the air a bit during our stay.

We visited the the Qutab Minar temple complex....and were lucky to get a glimpse of the 240 foot, 12th century tower as the smog lifted

On this brief stay in Delhi, we did get the chance to visit a few sites that we'd missed on previous visits. The accompanying photos tell the story
